If you would like to attend MCC, you will need to complete an admissions application. Please see the admissions checklist to ensure you are completing all steps. Classes begin at three points in the year:
- Fall Semester (August)
- Winter Semester (January)
- Summer Semester (May)
(Please be aware that some classes on campus, such as Continuing Education do not necessarily begin with the regular starting date of each semester.)
If you have attended Muskegon Community College in the past and you would like to return to complete classes to earn a degree and/or certification please complete the application as a returning student.

We are so excited you have decided to apply to be a part of our Early College Program here at Muskegon Community College. In order to make sure you start on the right foot in your college experience, our Early College mentors have created a special orientation & welcome just for you. MCC is transitioning to a new, digital student photo ID! Look for an email from ID123 to learn how to start the process!
Please note the following information:
- ID123 is an app for Android and iPhones that can be downloaded for free. There’s no cost to you!
- If you have already requested a student ID through our MCC e-mail system, but have not yet received your ID, look for an email from ID123 explaining the next steps as we are no longer printing student IDs.
An email from ID123 will be sent to your MCC e-mail account with directions to get started. Feel free to contact the Welcome Center staff if you need any assistance either in person or at Admissions@muskegoncc.edu
