WHY ZOOLOGY?

Zoology is the branch of biology concerned with the evolution, classification, habits and distribution of all animals. The study of animals, as well as how they interact with their ecosystems provides us with insight into how “life” works.  Zoologists may study a particular species or group of species, either in the wild or in captivity by examining things such as diet and physical characteristics.  The impact of human interaction or contact is also of relevance to the field of zoology.  If you are interested in transferring to a college that has a zoology program, you may be able to start by completing some general education courses at MCC.
