WHY CRIMINAL JUSTICE?
What is Criminal Justice? Technically, it’s a government system designed to withhold practices and institutions in order to maintain social obedience. Muskegon Community College’s Criminal Justice program will introduce you to a myriad of career choices such as:
- Police Officer
- Corrections Officer
- Deputy Sheriff
- U.S. Marshall
- Department of Natural Resources Enforcement Officer
- Security Guard
- Public Safety Officer
- Probation Officer
- Parole Officer
Each of these jobs encourages students to tap into their responsive skills of honesty, moral judgment, and responsibility. More important skills developed throughout this course would be maintaining neutral attitudes under pressure, making quick decisions, and working effectively as a member of a team. Students who progress into Criminal Justice fields feel a sense of trust, confidence, and dependability in the courses taken for their careers. Additionally, the Criminal Justice Field has numerous job opportunities available.
