WHY ADVERTISING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS?
Creating paid announcements that are promoted through different types of media can be a rewarding job and may be a great fit for those who are interested in pursuing advertising. Those who are interested in public relations assist in managing the spread of information between an individual or an organization and the public. Organizations often hire PR firms to encourage the spread of positive information about their product through journal articles and other forms of media. Students who are interested in pursuing either of the above can start at MCC and transfer on to major in advertising or public relations at 4-yr colleges.
