WHY LANGUAGES?
At MCC, students can study Spanish, French and German. Our country is a bilingual community. Spanish is the second most spoken language in the U.S. Having at least a moderate understanding of a second language enhances your job skills and opens you to other people and cultures. French is one of the world languages used on five continents in more than 40 countries. It is as near to us as Canada, where French is one of the two official languages. Anyone planning on going into business, the arts or many other fields may find French useful. German is a Global Connector. More than 185 million people in the world speak German. It is the most frequently spoken language in Europe and among the top 10 most frequently spoken languages in the world.
