WHY ECONOMICS?
- Both macroeconomics and microeconomics are suitable for economics, social sciences, business administration, and engineering majors.
- The principles of macroeconomics analyzes fiscal and monetary policies by utilizing modern economic theory. Inflation and taxes, full employment, GDP, economic growth, money and banking are some of the topics discussed in the course.
- The principles of microeconomics teaches the basic price theory of the firm. Operation of supply and demand, costs, and revenue functions in the perfectly and imperfectly competitive markets. Markets for both products and factors are analyzed. International finance problems are examined in theory and practice.
- Students can find positions in Wall Street, banks, education, and industry.
