MCC’s Athletic Department Website Gets Extreme Makeover

Monday, July 8, 2024

Muskegon Community College (MCC) is proud to announce the launch of its new website dedicated exclusively to the school’s athletic department. Officially becoming the home of Muskegon Community College Athletics as of Tuesday, July 2nd, the new site showcases the college’s commitment to excellence and innovation in collegiate sports.

Located at muskegonjayhawks.com, the new website features an efficient and modern design, highlighted by stunning photography, schedules, rosters, and news for MCC’s 18 athletic programs. As the community college with the most athletic programs in the state of Michigan, the site is designed to celebrate and support the sports teams currently in season; high-definition images will rotate throughout the year to align with active rosters, providing a real-time and engaging experience for visitors.

“Today represents more than just a digital upgrade; it embodies our commitment to excellence, transparency, and community engagement,” said MCC Assistant Athletic Director Jimmy Booth. “At MCC, we believe that athletics is a crucial part of the educational experience, fostering teamwork, discipline, and leadership. Our new website reflects these values by providing a platform that highlights the dedication and perseverance of our student-athletes.”

In addition to its visual appeal, the website offers livestream MCC-related sports events when available. This feature ensures that all Jayhawks fans, including those with physical or transportation barriers, can cheer on their teams from anywhere.

The website also serves as a valuable resource for prospective student-athletes. It includes a pathway for future recruits to get involved, featuring a questionnaire and physical form, and detailed departmental information such as staff directories, facilities, and visitor guidelines.

The launch of the new athletics website is a key component of Muskegon Community College’s broader rebranding efforts. MCC plans to unveil a new college-wide website later this month, further enhancing its online presence and accessibility.
