These classes are open to everyone, regardless of MCC enrollment status, offering a unique opportunity for individuals to engage with and contribute to the vibrant musical life of the Lakeshore community.

“At Muskegon Community College, we are proud to provide various ways for individuals to participate outside of earning a degree,” said Dr. Stephanie Briggs, Associate Dean of Workforce and Talent Development. “Our music classes are an ideal venue for local musicians and talent to display their skills while bringing pride to the Lakeshore Community.”

The following music classes will be offered:

1. College Singers – Fall 2024/Winter 2025
This performance ensemble is designed for students and community members with previous musical experience. 2. Wind Ensemble – Fall 2024
The advanced-level Wind Ensemble will perform a range of traditional to contemporary wind-band literature. The focus will be on rehearsal and performance, with biweekly rehearsals and two to four performances per semester both on and off-campus.

3. Jazz Ensemble – Fall 2024
