College Offers FREE Test Drive of Skilled Trades Courses

Muskegon Community College (MCC) is excited to offer a free two-week Manufacturing Basics program designed to equip local residents with essential skills for the manufacturing industry. The program will run from September 16 to September 27, 2024, daily from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, at MCC’s Sturrus Technology Center in downtown Muskegon.

Participants will benefit from hands-on training, resume enhancement, and interview skill development to help them land a position in today’s competitive job market. The program also includes OSHA 10 and Hi-Lo Safety Certification training, ensuring that students gain essential safety credentials. In addition, attendees will receive hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing techniques such as Robotics, CNC machining, and print reading, while students will have the opportunity to interview with several leading employers in the industry.

This opportunity is open exclusively to Muskegon County residents. Participants will benefit from complimentary breakfast and lunch each day.

Muskegon Community College offers over 80 degrees and certificates including many in manufacturing areas like welding, engineering, and applied technology.
