Fall Show: The Stargazer

September 17 - October 29

Narrated by astronomer Dr. James Kaler and actress Nichelle Nichols, this sky show begins with a child's curiosity about the universe, moves on to the physics of gravity and light, and what we can learn of a star from its spectrum, and how this helps decipher the life cycles of the stars.  This program ends with reflections on the deeper meanings of astronomy in our lives.

Winter Show: Jack Frost & the Skies of Winter

Christmas Show: Star of Wonder

 November 10 - December 17

Anyone who has read the Bible has learned of the glory and the wonder of the 'Star' that declared the birth of Jesus Christ.  Yet, it seems few people of that time, including King Herod's court astronomers, were aware of the star's appearance.  What was the 'Star' referred to in scripture?  'Star of Wonder' pursues this question using Biblical quotations and our modern knowledge of astronomical bodies visible in the sky at the time of the Christ's birth.

This is a 35 minute presentation.

Spring Show: Galaxies

April 13 - April 22 and May 11 - June 17

Timothy Ferris, noted author of numerous books on cosmology, takes us into space on a cosmic journey through the stars of the Milky Way and onwards to the galaxies beyond.  'Galaxies' is presented like a nature walk on the grandest of scales, Starting with our night sky, our journey turns to the distant stars, star clusters, and nebulae, with our galaxy.  The voyage of discovery continues through extra-galactic space onwards to the distant clusters of galaxies.  Enhanced with original music from classical composer Kevin Braheny, this show is a treat for sky watchers.
