International Students

Thank you for your interest in Muskegon Community College.  Please follow the steps listed below and submit all of the completed forms to Donella Cooper, Office of International Enrollment.  After all required documentation is received , you will be notified of the admission decision.  ALL of the items listed below must be official/certified and received before we can process an I-20 form for you.  Because of the time involved in processing, securing passports, visa, etc., Muskegon Community College requires that all admissions materials be received from the applicant at least THREE MONTHS prior to the semester in which application is sought.

Fall deadline - May 1              Winter deadline - October 1          Summer deadline - February 1

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

1.  Complete the International Student Application by the deadline date.  Late applications will automatically be considered for the   following semester.

2.  Submit official copies of your Academic Records.  These should include official copies of grades, diplomas, certificates, and degrees from high school and any colleges you may have attended.  If they are not in English, translation must be provided. 

3.  Submit results of the TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language).  TOEFL students must score a 61 on the internet-based version, 500 on the written verision, or 173 on the computer version.  For additional information visit www.toefl.org or call 1-800-468-6335.

4.  Submit bank statment of Financial Support certifying availability of $16,046 american dollars. 

5.  Submit proof of Health Insurance Coverage for you while studying in the United States.
