• CQ Electronic Library includes CQ Researcher, CQ Weekly, and CQ Historic Document Series. Login for off-campus access.  

   

• Science Direct College Edition Contains the full text of major social science encyclopedias with emphasis on the behavioral sciences.  Titles include the encyclopedias of:   Applied Psychology, the Human Brain, Information Systems, International Media and Communications, Language & Linguistics, Psychotherapy, Social Measurement and the International Encyclopedia of Social & Behavioral Sciences,  Also contains scholarly journals in the social sciences.  Login for off-campus access.  

   

• ABC-CLIO Social Studies Databases includes American History, American Government, World History, State Geography, World Geography, and Social Issues research materials. Login for off-campus access. Provided by ABC-CLIO.  

   

• Oxford African American Studies Center contains articles and reference books covering all aspects of African American history.

   

• Oxford Islamic Studies contains materials covering the history and culture of Islam and provides full-text access to  reference works, including The Oxford Encyclopedia of the Modern Islamic World, The Oxford History of Islam, The Oxford Dictionary of Islam, two classic interpretations of the Qur'an and a Concordance of the Qur'an.

   

• EBSCO Databases CINAHL, Magill Literature, Granger's Poetry, PsycBOOKS, Scientific American. EBSCO also provides free access to Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA)   Login for off-campus access.  

   

• Red Book Online contains information on the manifestations, etiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of 200 childhood infectious diseases. Contains a visual library of over 2,000 images, vaccine status information and infectious disease news.  Published by the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Available on-campus only.  

   

• LitFinder database. Contains the full text of poems, short stories, essays, speeches and plays. Restricted use requires password both on and off-campus. 

   

• SYB World: The Statesman's Yearbook  Login for off-campus access. 

   

• Who's Who biographical database.  Login for off-campus access.  

   

• Search through library catalogs for books and other materials with no login required. Easy interface.  

   

• WorldCat library catalogs. Use to search for books and other materials held in other libraries. Same as above, but with advanced search options.  This is one of the FirstSearch databases.   Login for off-campus access, then select FirstSearch.
