Digital Books On Campus

netLibrary  netLibrary contains over 21,000 digital books.  These scholarly press and general books are searchable by title, author, keyword, full text and ISBN.   

Gale Virtual Reference contains some of the best reference encyclopedias available.  Use this source to gain background information on medical, legal, economic, historical, and social topics.   

Oxford University Press books includes American National Biography, the Oxford English Dictionary, the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, and over 100 Oxford reference books.   

Credo Reference (formerly xreferplus) over 200 reference books covering a broad range of areas.  

Cambridge Histories Online is a digital book collection of some of the most scholarly books pertaining to historical studies.  An extensive collection covering many different aspects of history including economic, literary, musical, religious and political.   

PsychiatryOnline contains the DSM-IV-TR® and earlier editions of the DSM, handbooks, and comprehensive textbooks in the field of psychiatry, and some psychiatric journals.  

Red Book Online contains information on the manifestations, etiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of 200 childhood infectious diseases. Contains a visual library of over 2,000 images, vaccine status information and infectious disease news.  Published by the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Available on-campus only.

Safari Tech Books Online contains over 1,000 full text books covering computer-related topics including certification, graphics, hardware, Internet, IT management, markup languages, networking, operating systems, programming, security and software engineering. Browse by subject category or search by author, title, publisher or ISBN.  

PsycBOOKS contains over 600 scholarly books published since 1953 by the American Psychological Association. Many are classics of landmark historical impact in psychology.   Available via EBSCOhost.  

Science Direct College Edition Contains the full text of major social science encyclopedias with emphasis on the behavioral sciences. Titles include the encyclopedias of: Applied Psychology, the Human Brain, Information Systems, International Media and Communications, Language & Linguistics, Psychotherapy, Social Measurement and the International Encyclopedia of Social & Behavioral Sciences.  Also contains scholarly journals in the social sciences. 

ABC-CLIO reference eBooks collection includes books pertaining to the social sciences and humanities.  

Greenwood Digital Collection currently includes books from the social sciences.  

History E-Book Project contains over 2,000 full text, scholarly history books dealing with ancient through 20th century time periods. Coverage of the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa. 

Galenet's Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center contains the full text of the Opposing Viewpoints books.  

ChiltonLibrary.com   Chilton's offers repair, recall and maintenance information on the most popular automobiles from the past 30 years.  Some  specialty models are also included.
