Diana Osborn Serves as MCC Interim President
The Muskegon Community College Board of Trustees on Monday, 28 July 2008, appointed Diana Osborn, the college's executive vice president of administration, as the college's interim president.
Dr. David Rule, who has departed the college as of 31 August, has begun his new job as president of the Rock Creek Campus of Portland Community College starting 2 September.
The board unanimously approved Osborn's appoint to interim president during the special board meeting on 28 July. Osborn also served as interim president prior to Rule's hiring 3½ years ago.
A graduate of Orchard View High School, Osborn has overseen various administrative duties during her 41-year career at MCC. She began as a work-study student employed in MCC's Continuing Education Department when she was a freshman. She has served as dean of administrative services since 1989.
She acquired associate of art and business degrees from MCC and a bachelor's of business and administration degree from Grand Valley State University. She received a master's of science degree in administration from Central Michigan University.
