About MCC
Muskegon Community College is a publicly supported educational institution currently serving nearly 5,000 students.
Created by the Muskegon Board of Education in 1926, and housed in the then-new Muskegon Senior High School, it was one of only five two-year educational institutions in Michigan at that time.
From there, the college moved downtown and expanded classes to several other area high schools. But the college had outgrown even these facilities, leading to the construction of a new campus--built in the 1960s--located on Quarterline and Marquette streets.
Muskegon Community College continues to grow and expand to meet the needs of the community it serves.
