Graduate Recommendation I am a Licensed Respiratory Therapist who graduated from the Muskegon Community College RT program in December 2007. The education and support I received from Karen Kain, Dan Knue, Dale DeVries, Jan Fields, and Vicki Henderson was competent, enthusiastic, and unwavering. The classroom work, which included full semester classes in pulmonary anatomy and physiology, hemodynamics and neonatal respiratory care complimented the clinical rotations very well. This program gives you access to many hospitals and working environments, from community hospitals to world class university medical centers. I am thankful for MCC's dedication and approach. Take their program, add some hard work of your own, and at the end you will have a college degree and be well prepared for all the certification exams respiratory therapy has to offer. Dave Nehil - Class of 2007 Editor’s Note: Within a month of graduation from the program, Dave earned both the CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) and RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credentials, and was honored on a national basis for being the first graduate in the nation to achieve these credentials so soon after leaving school. In the following four months he had added the NPS (Neonatal Pediatric Specialist), CPFT (Certified Pulmonary Function Technician), AE-C (Asthma Educator Certified), and the RPFT (Registered Pulmonary Function Technician) credentials behind his name. |
