For Employers/Agency Sponsors

Welcome to the Employer/Agency Sponsors webpage on the Muskegon Community College website. This single point resource has been developed to aid human resource officers and other officials who send their employees to the college for further education or training. In order to simplify  and clarify the steps which an employer or agency can get their employee enrolled and their  educational expenses billed to their respective organizations, just follow the simple steps below.

1. If the employee has never attended Muskegon Community College, they will need to fill out an admissions application online. The application can be obtained by clicking here.

In the event the student has attended Muskegon Community College previously but has not been continously attending for the past five years, they will need to complete the MCC Readmit Form. This form can be obtained by clicking here.

2. The employee will need to take the MCC Placement Test (COMPASS). The testing can be taken at the Testing Center on campus by calling (231) 777-0394. If there are a group of ten or more employees who are seeking to enter the college from your company, arrangements can be made to offer the test  at your site. The test takes approximately two hours.

3. The student and the human resource officer need to complete the Company/Agency Authorization Form. This form can be completed using the computer. Please print the form. It is imperative for both the employee and the authorizing company official sign it.The form can be obtained by clicking the following link: Company/Agency Authorization Form. *Please note that many courses have prerequisite requirements. Students may wish to confer with an MCC counselor prior to registering for classes. The Counseling Center can be reached by telephone at (231) 777-0362.
