Jayhawks Win National Academic Team Award

 
The 2006-07 Muskegon Community College wrestling team won the NJCAA Coaches Association award for the team with the highest overall grade point average and academic success. The Jayhawks achieved an overall GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. The award is based on a team’s ten entries in the Regional Qualifying Tournament, plus two additional members from the entire team. A total of nine wrestlers on the team earned individual academic honors. The following individuals are members of the National Academic Team for Wrestling in 2006-07.

Muskegon Community College, the Athletic Department and the wrestling coaching staff are extremely proud of this accomplishment by the 2006-07 wrestling team and congratulate them on a job well done. A true athlete strives for both academic and athletic success in their career. The Jayhawks will also be honored by the NCAA National Wrestling Coaches Association at the 2008 National Wrestling Tournament in St. Louis, Missouri.
