Muskegon Community College Adjunct Instructor Opportunities
The winter 2008 Semester starts January 8. Increased enrollment and new programs has created a need for adjunct instructors in the following disciplines:
ART 211- Art Education Workshop; Qualifications include a MA or an MFA in Art and the course will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 – 9:00PM
ART 101 – Beginning Art; Qualifications include an MA or an MFA in art. The course meets Tuesdays from 9:05 AM – 12:05AM.
Biology, Microbiology and Anatomy and Physiology – Sections will be offered at various times. Qualifications include A Masters degree in Biology, Health Sciences or a related field. Instructors may be accountable for monitoring student lab work.
CIS 120A – Introduction to Computer Information Systems; One course will be offered days on campus and another will be offered evenings in the Fremont area. Qualifications will include experience with computer applications in a business and industry setting, skills with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Access software and fluency in at least one computer programming language.
CIS - Interactive Media and Gaming – Qualifications include a strong interest in the video game industry, programming skills associated with C++ and console gaming systems, experience in graphic design and illustrating using popular digital media software, such as Adobe’s Creative Suite and Flash Animation.
Health, Physical Education and Recreation – Qualifications include a Masters Degree in HPER with additional experience Health Education, First Aid, Industrial Safety, Exercise Physiology, and Secondary or Higher Ed Teaching. Courses will be held both AM and PM in Winter or upcoming Summer or Fall Semesters.
Math 162 – Calculus II – Qualifications include a Masters Degree in Math. Courses will meet in Fremont area on Monday and Wednesday Mornings.
Principles of Retailing – Qualifications include a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and a minimum of three years retail management experience at a nationally recognized retailer. Courses will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:20 – 1:20 or one evening per week dependent upon the availability of the selected instructor

Qualifications include a Masters Degree in field, teaching experience, demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities and cultures, and experience in instructional technologies. On occasion, candidates with a Bachelors degree and extensive experience in the desired field will be considered. The Department Chairperson and/or representatives from the discipline will determine qualifications.
