Duane SchecterMuskegon Community College I was born in Muskegon and grew up in Roosevelt Park. (I sure didn't wander far from home did I?) I went to Mona Shores Public Schools. Upon graduating from Mona Shores, I went to Hope College, graduating with a BA in Business Administration. My Masters Degree is from Western Michigan Univesity. I have been teaching at Muskegon Community College since 1973. My work experience includes working for Meijers, selling sailboats, doing lots of employee training for midwest companies, conducting employee opinion surveys, and serving as a frequent consultant to companies wanting to increase employee empowerment (espcially through teams). I am married. My wife's name is Susan. She has been a Kindergarten teacher in the Grand Haven Public Schools. We have two children. My hobbies are (in no particular order) sailing and golf in the summer, skiing, both down hill and cross country in winter, being out doors, watching my favorite sports teams, almost any type of travel, and spending time with my family and friends. |
