Teaching Methods: Lecture, Discussion of Texts, Movie Analysis
Teaching Philosophy: I prefer to use original sources, often of a cultural nature. I believe that Histoy is in what people think as well as in what they do, but before action comes thinking. As consequence, I emphasize cultural works in my teaching.
Other Activities: I regularly broadcast a television show on great books on Muskegon Community College television called "Variations on Themes," with cohost Janice Agard. I also hold sitting meditation in room 246 on Wednesdays with Paula McClurg.
