Thursday, November 05, 2009

Muskegon Community College Continuing Education is offering “An Introduction to Freelance Writing,” a four-week course starting on Wednesday, 18 November 2009, from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Stevenson Center.

Despite a struggling economy, there are thousands of publications with editors who are still looking for content to fill their pages. If you aspire to get published, this introductory course is a guide to help get your career in freelance writing started.  From travel writing to romance writing, learn how to find resources, break through writers block, and get tips from one or two special local guest freelance writers.  Get motivated and inspired by instructor T. Taylor Williams, a professional journalist with 15 years of news feature writing and editing experience with the Muskegon Chronicle.

The cost of the course is $39. For more information, contact Continuing Education Coordinator Mary Williams at 231.777.0341, or register online at www.muskegoncc.edu/CE .
