Learn to Play the Guitar Instantly at MCC on 9 November

Monday, November 02, 2009

Muskegon Community College’s Continuing Education is offering “Instant Guitar” for those without a lot of time for lessons, on Monday, 9 November 2009, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. in room 360 on campus.

In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won't have to take private lessons to do it.  This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away.

Instructor Mark Jacus brings a wealth of practical music knowledge to the Instant Guitar program staff.  He specializes in welcoming beginning students, and presenting the guitar in an easy-to-understand way.  He holds a BS of Music Education from Illinois Wesleyan University, and a certification of completion from Instant Guitar Institute, Gilbert, Arizona.

Students must bring their own acoustic guitar. Cost of the class is $74. This class is recommended for ages 13 and up. For more information, go to www.instantguitarnow.com or to register, www.muskegoncc.edu/CE .
