Muskegon Community College’s Continuing Education will offer a course to help smokers kick the habit, starting on Tuesday, 3 November 2009. The four-week course will be facilitated by Edward Parsekian, a public Health Educator for the Muskegon Health Department.

The course starts Monday, 9 November, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. The course is offered in conjunction with the Tobacco Free Environment at Muskegon Community College and the Muskegon County Clean Indoor Air Regulation. As of 1 January 2010, the MCC campus will be smoke-free, a policy adopted by the MCC Board of Trustees in August 2009.

The course will be held in the Stevenson Center, located on the campus of Muskegon Community College, in Room 1228, located on the second floor. When traveling on Quarterline, the entrance to the Stevenson Center is the third entrance on the left, labeled the East Entrance. Parking is free.

The course is open to the general public, and costs $40. To register, go to www.muskegoncc.edu/CE or for more information, call 231-777-0319 or go to www.muskegoncc.edu/tobaccofree .
